We love food that is local, natural, and great tasting!  Everyone is welcome to shop at the Co-op and help us realize our vision for a more sustainable community and world. (Membership is optional.) Ypsi Food Co-op is a member-owned business, specializing in foods and products that are natural and organic for your healthy lifestyle.

YFC sells a full line of groceries, including locally-grown produce, Michigan beer & wine, Fair Trade coffee & chocolate, frozen & dairy foods, and artisan breads & pastries baked in YFC's wood-fired brick oven. The Co-op is also a place to get to know your neighbors and community, and learn more about your food. Come in and see what's delicious today!

UPDATE: 2018 Board Election

The Board of Directors is comprised of volunteer member-owners who oversee operations, set long-term goals and policies, and work closely with the general manager to ensure that YFC is thriving and meeting our commitment to the community!

A core principle of cooperatives all over the world, and especially for YFC, is democratic member control! Part of this democratic process is member-owners voting for the YFC Board of Directors and it is time once again to vote!

This year we have five available positions and seven candidates: Aaron Bedell, Don Broersma , Leaha Dotson, Celeste McClellan, Tessa Sarapo, Steve Somers and Stefani Stauffer!

In store voting is available May 15th ,2018 through May 24th, 2018 at 4pm, and voting is also available at the May 29, 2018 Annual General Membership Meeting at 6pm at the Ypsilanti Freighthouse!

A bio submitted by each of the candidates running can be found here or by clicking THE YELLOW BLOCK ABOVE!

There will be an opportunity to meet the candidates at the Forum on May 15th at 6:30pm at the Freighthouse and also the Annual General Membership Meeting planned for Tuesday May 29th, at 6PM also located at the Ypsilanti Freighthouse!
